Based in Chicago, IOCOM Integrated Communications develops, markets, and supports enterprise collaboration software and solutions that enable multi-point communication of applications and their output of business processes.
The Company’s primary product, the IOCOM Grid (IG) platform, provides individuals and groups the ability to meet via video and audio modes of interaction, data collaboration, and/or desktop toolsets in their chosen working environment ranging from a laptop or personal phone to a conference room or auditorium.
Since 2003 Taalus has installed over 50 IOCOM Grid Platforms as the integrator of choice for these systems in the UK. The installation service required a broad range of skills from installing projection, camera, and microphone equipment to advice and installation of global server links. With 20 years of technical installation experience Taalus was an obvious choice.
IOCOM Grid and Collaboration Software have been deployed to universities and the corporate sector across the UK.
In November 2007 Taalus became a reseller for IOCOM.
IOCOM EVP of Sales, Jim Miller said:
"When you have the great track record in place as we do with Taalus, it makes sense to bring the relationship to the next level. We look forward to a long and profitable business relationship with Taalus"

"What most surprised me about the Access Grid Node was the speed and clarity of sound and pictures –there was no delay in speech between myself and the other participants, so natural conversation was easily maintained. I was able to receive emailed information instantly and view PowerPoint presentations in real time whilst still connected, which led to immediate discussion and rapid decision-making"
- Rachel Robson, University of Birmingham Press Officer
JODRELL BANK OBSERVATORY: University of Manchester
